Membership class is usually held on Saturdays twice a year. Here's what you need to do:

• The next New Membership class will be on Saturday, May 4th, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Unity of Charleston. The church treats all participants to lunch afterwards!

• The next day after the new membership class, Sunday, is time for your formal reception by the entire Unity Community. It is called "spiritual baptism" but don't worry, it does not involve water in any way. It is a special blessing that you receive from Rev. Sarah and and the entire community and it is beautiful. You'll be glad you did spiritual baptism and you'll be glad you joined Unity! The next spiritual baptism service will be on Sunday, May 5th at 10:30 a.m.

• Besides listening to Sunday messages by Rev. Sarah and taking a class, or any of the other workshops we offer, we encourage you to read The Five Principles by Ellen Debenport. It can be purchased in our bookstore. You do not have to have finished the text before membership class!

• One of the most important things you can do is to get to know the people in our community. Talk to people, connect, network, get involved. You do not have to be a member to be involved in almost all the activities, classes, etc. that we have going on.
